Tuesday assignment---Thank you letter, 4 November 2014

Imagine you had a job interview that went well. Write a letter to the interviewer thanking him/her for the opportunity you were given. Remember to restate your key accomplishments/strengths as they relate to the job.

 Dear  Maria,

Thanks for giving me a chance for the phone interview to discuss the Mandarin supply teacher of International language program for R. C.  public school.

I'd like to reiterate that my interest in this position. I believe I am an asset for this position, because I am a teacher with 19 years professional teaching experience. I have multiple educational background about Chinese and Art painting.  I hold master degree of Art, and two bachelors of Chinese and Art. I have been exploring intensively my unique teaching style. I have been combining the knowledge of my two professional majors to blend my teaching methods with artistic and creative attracting the attention of the students,  let students feel classes are very interesting and active. In additional to I am very familiar with different ages of students because my teaching career has been relating to elementary school till college. So, I can understand all kinds of students's state of mind and the status of their learning process. I can adjust varied teaching plans and methods for them, and I am an experienced trouble solver in teaching field.

Furthermore, I will put enthusiasm to prepare artistic teaching plan and make some creative demonstrative teaching aids which will be related to Chinese Culture, such as, The evolution of Chinese Characters, Chinese History,Chinese Literature,Chinese traditions and customs,Sinology( the study of Chinese language, history, customs, and politics.),Chinese ancient poetry,Children’s rhymes,Chinese Reading Comprehension,Chinese cuisine Introduction,Chinese historic cities and ancient monuments,Chinese Cultural Geography,etc. If the teaching condition can be permitted,I will arrange  about the contents of Chinese calligraphy(It will let the children  master Chinese from an artistic point of view ),Chinese traditional paper-cut art,Chinese painting. They can enrich the curriculum, The students can also gain a better understanding of Chinese culture purely.

1.Pick from five to six new vocabulary words, idioms and phrasal verbs; then put them in sentences of your own.

1.1 deliberately: consciously and intentionally ; on purpose.
 People's pet peeve is that someone has deliberately cut off themselves on the checkout line in the supermarket.

1.2  turn down: reject an offer or application made by someone.
I can't turn down this juicy job under pessimistic state of employment although I have to go through such a long distance.

1.3 industrious: diligent and hard-working.
The employers want the employees should be industrious in their companies.

1.4. inadequate:(of the person)unable to deal with a situation or with life; lacking the quality or quantity required; insufficient for a purpose.
This medical system is inadequate for most of people in need.

1.5 eccentric:(of a person or their behavior)unconventional and slight strange.
I think nobody is willing to get together with eccentric person in workplace.

1.6 on the whole its effect: overall effect
Most artists are focus on the whole its effect about the composition of their paintings when they have been making an artistic creation.

1.7 psychometric:relating to psychometry .
The parents not only should pay attention to the physical health of their kids but also psychometric health.

1.8 peculiar:different to what is normal or expected;strange.
There are more peculiar phenomena in today's society in this era of rapid development.

                                      summary
In summary, I felt some testing system aren't inadequate and inaccuracy in nowadays when I looked through this article. It's necessary that the companies should be care the psychometric health of employee candidates for some special career field, but I think it should be in reasonable range. Otherwise, the testing system will lose its effect, If  candidates' experience are anything to go by, the job candidates should be suspicious of this kind of 10-minute 
psychometric tests that effective results in generalized, and possibly wildly inaccurate judgments.
So, its will be corrected adequately if the wise employers concerned about humanities will be taken criticism.

1.I am an experienced teacher with 19 years teaching experience, with multiple educational background about Art painting and Chinese.
I hold master degree of Art, and two bachelors,one is Art,the other is Chinese.

2.I have been studying intensively my unique teaching style.I can combine my two professional majors to blend my teaching methods with artistic and creative, let my students feel the classes are very interesting and active.

interview particularly in the phone interview.  It is formal and 

professional environment which means you can't use any slang 

term you used, you can't put someone on hold when you talking to 

the another line. you can't answer your kids questions. you can't 

have other disturbances going on.

This is professional and formal interview or phone interview. Don't 

allow your caller ID. Don't let your caller waiting, any other 

features to allow you to lose attention and possible harm yourself 

on the phone
